216 Capital invests in Deplike, the startup revolutionizing music learning through AI

The global online music education market continues its rapid growth, driven by advances in AI and gamification. In this context, 216 Capital announces its investment in Deplike, a music EdTech startup behind Chordie AI, an application reinventing the way people learn guitar.

AI at the Service of Music Learning

Deplike is the company behind Chordie AI, often described as a “Duolingo for guitar.” The app combines real-time intelligent feedback, immersive 3D tutors, and game-based mechanics to make learning more interactive and engaging. The results speak for themselves: over 250,000 active users, 3,000 new signups per day, and revenues tripled last quarter, growth driven primarily by the U.S. and U.K. markets.

A growth supported by a strong team: founded in Turkey by Ufuk Polat, Mehmet Süleyman Sağlam, and Mustafa Demir, three engineers passionate about music and technology, Deplike’s mission is to make instrumental learning more accessible and engaging through AI.

“It has been an incredible opportunity to collaborate with the partners at 216 Capital, who possess a deep and valuable understanding of both the music learning space and edtech. They operate less like typical investors and more like engaged partners, consistently approaching our business from crucial angles like product development and marketing strategy”, said Ufuk Polat, CEO of Deplike.

A strong commitment to educational innovation

Joining a round alongside renowned investors such as Eren Bali (Udemy), Mehmet Ecevit (Gram Games), Melih Ödemiş (Yemeksepeti), Ali Akgün (VP Microsoft AI), and MagicLab, 216 Capital is backing a company that combines technological innovation, educational impact, and global ambition.

“Deplike embodies the intersection of education, creativity, and technology. Its gamified, user-centric approach is reshaping music learning into an accessible, engaging, and universal experience. This investment reflects our mission to support visionary founders who can transform global markets from the MENA region,” said Dhekra Khelifi, Partner at 216 Capital.

A mission to make music learning accessible to all

Harnessing the power of AI, Deplike is democratizing music education at scale. Its mission is to make learning music more interactive, inclusive, and effective, enabling anyone, anywhere, to learn an instrument. This funding marks a new milestone in Deplike’s journey as the company prepares its Series A round to accelerate international growth and strengthen its position as a global leader in augmented music education.
